Author Readings and School Visits:

 
Author Kristen Zajac enjoys visiting schools, bookstores, libraries, festivals, military bases, and hospitals to conduct book readings for fans of her books and their families. 

School Visit Programs: Author facilitates three 30 minute sessions comprised of several classes each (usually K-1, 2-3, 4-5). Author reads her book, teaches a lesson, and leads a patriotic sing-a-long on her guitar.

 Book Reading Visit Needs:

1) Chair, computer, & big screen for projecting book

2) Microphone and microphone stand

3) Carpeted space is best with children seated on the floor.

5) (For schools) Request teachers stay with their class during book reading and discussion sessions.

For trips out of town or out of state, author also requires coverage of travel costs (car mileage, air fare, lodging) in addition to speaking fee.  If several schools in the area partner together, traveling expenses can be divided so they are less to each school.  (Request a POC to pick author up from the airport or hotel and drive/accompany her to the schools out of state for logistical purposes.)

*** Nov 21 2014-  Barnes and Noble- Carrollwood (11802 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL) Conducting author book readings and signings, as well as a guitar led sing-a-long for Barnes and Noble's "Discovery" weekend. 6pm 

*** Nov 6, 2014-  Barnes and Noble- Carrollwood, Tampa, Florida. Conducting author book readings and signings at the "Battle of the Books" Book Fair. 5-8 pm. A portion of Barnes and Noble book sales that night benefit Hillsborough County School Media Centers.

*** Sept 27, 2014-  Florida Aquarium (701 Channelside Drive Tampa, Florida 33602) Conducting book readings and signings, and patriotic guitar led sing-a-long for the MacDill Air Force Base, Resiliency Training, Exceptional Family Member Program. 

*** Sept 6, 2014-  Big Brothers, Big Sisters "Children's Literacy Day" at Christ the King Church, Tampa, Florida  Author book readings and signings, and patriotic guitar led sing-a-long, 12 pm

*** May 27, 2014-  Grady Elementary, Tampa, Florida Author book reading, lesson, and guitar led sing-a-long for the school's four kindergarten classes.

*** November 10, 2013 - Silly Dilly's Tot Spot (3217 S. MacDill Ave, Tampa, Florida 33629) "Kids Giving Thanks: Celebrating Our Military Families" 1-4 pm Join Silly Dilly's, The Early Autism Project, and Children's Author Kristen Zajac, as we celebrate November, Military Families Month.  Author book readings and signings, music, flag cookie decorating (by Sweet Ava's), and lego activities (by Bricks 4 Kidz).

*** November 12, 2013 - Camelot Community Care, 401 East Palm Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33602  "Picture My Story Writing Workshop" 4:30 pm Author Kristen Zajac will be sharing her books and conducting a writing workshop for homeless youth and independent living youth in Camelot Community Care programs.

(Saturday, 1/14 11am-2pm and Sunday, 1/15 1pm-4pm)
